Donavyn's Big Announcement!!!


Yup...that's right! We got "the call"! We are OUT of PGN! WOOHOO!!!! Sonya called at about 4:30 yesterday afternoon and asked if we were ready to have our boy home. Man, are we?!? Of course Zach was at work and wouldn't be back until today, but I caught him before he took off for a flight and he was happy too! We don't know the exact dates that we will be gone, but it should be between 4-8 weeks from now.

I'm sorry I haven't updated lately. It's been crazy and then we have been re-arranging furniture and misplaced our camera connector to transfer pics onto the computer, but Zach found it yesterday, just in time.

I'll put up more pics later, but Miss D is crying and Zach is on his way home and I'm not feeling 100% (probably all that screaming I did last night). I'm so glad Becca and Jason were home so that I could get a hug and have someone to scream with me! Thanks guys!

i have been looking for this announcement. so happy for you both.

i'm still on bedrest, in the hospital now. the babies are growing, and the docyors are optimistic that i'll still be pregnant for a while.

Sorry I've been so bad about updating. Almost everyone is on Facebook , so I just usually do updates there, but I've been meaning to do this. Hopefully I'll be better. This will just be a quick recap of our summer and early fall.Back in June, we all went to San Diego for a few days. Zach was invited by the Discovery Channel to be interviewed for "After the Catch" - the post season recap with the captains of the "Deadliest Catch" vessels. We decided that the kids and I would go to, since we had the miles and the hotel would be paid for. We had a blast. If you want to see pics from our trip, HERE is a link to the ones on my FB. Potty Trained!

Miss Donavyn is officially potty trained! She's even waking up in the middle of the night to sit on the potty or upset b/c she's pee peed in her pull up. She's doing great. Anyway...we're SO proud of her and she loves hearing that too. I believe we have figured out her love language - words of affirmation with a close second of physical touch. We tried doing the M&M's and stickers, but she didn't really care, just wanted us to give her a big hug and tell her how proud we are of her. Gabriel likes to help her celebrate too. She is so skinny though that panties are just saggy on her. I guess I'll be putting the underwear pattern I bought to good use. Just have to order fabric now. Oh, and she just HAS to read her books while on the potty. She can stay in there forever just sitting on her potty and reading. She gets that from her daddy. *snort* Here are some extra videos. Donavyn Faith Koehler!!! Born Sept 25th 2007 at 6:33 pm. She weighed in at 5 lbs 14 oz and 19 3/4 inches long. It's been an exhausting couple of days but we are finally home and couldn't be happier!! We really appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. We couldn't have done this without the support of everybody out there!! I hate to lump you all together like this but if I were to list everyone of you I think I would break the internet. You are all so special to us and we are truly blessed to have you as friends and family. Mother and Daughter are doing just fine and hopefully 0nce we get settled in a little bit more we'll be able to share our story with you. We have most of it already written but every time we would try to finish it and get it posted we would be interrupted by a doctor or nurse. But no more interruptions now!!
