You'll love me again!
Warning....VERY much picture heavy!!!
Ok, so Delinda has been after me to upload some video of Donavyn, so here it is. I'll work on getting the video of Gabriel (yup, from JULY) up this week. I just figured out how to do it. This video includes some from when she was just under a month old and some from last week - at two and a half months. It is about 5 minutes long....sorry about that, but I figured our family would enjoy it being long since no one has seen her in person.
Ok. Now for the pictures. I'll include some...ok, a LOT of photos from the last few weeks also. Pics of our tree will come soon.
Donavyn fell asleep on me before going to the base Christmas party. Melissa watched Donavyn for us.
We didn't really have too much fun at the base party this year, but whatever. We made the most of it and were silly. Note to those throwing parties...just because the sound CAN go up to 11, doesn't mean it should. I left with a headache. We may skip the party next year, but it's the only time we can get dressed up so we'll see.
Us at the table getting ready to eat. At least the food was good, but we had both been on a diet for a few weeks already and it was hard to eat it all because there was so much - not necessarily a bad thing.
This is Becca before the raffle prizes were drawn. She was so excited and couldn't wait to see what she would win.
This is Becca after the drawings and realizing that she just helped pay for the prizes instead of winning one. You had to buy the tickets...Zach and I don't play b/c it's not like we are going to win anyway. There are people who go and spend over $100 on the raffle tickets, that's just nutso.
Here we are with Becca and Jason in front of the cheesy tree. It was a sorry excuse for a tree, but it was fun nonetheless. We had a great time chatting with them and the Wallins for a while out in the hall - the only place we could hear ourselves. Ok, I just realized I'm very negative about the whole party thing and yet I have a lot of pictures from it. Like any event you go to, there are ups and downs. Just so happened we did have a good time with them, but just not enough that we wanted to stay very long. I know other people had a great time, maybe we just weren't in the mood for it.
Donavyn and I went to visit Zach one night at work so she could have her pictures made with him in front of the 60 wearing her 60 onesie. I just love her in jeans. Everyone that looks at her says she looks just like her daddy. She just looks like Donavyn to us though.
Hey, let me fly this thing! I can do it!
Daddy, don't take off with me on here, ok?
Our nakey baby! She is so cute! I think every day the past week or so, she has done something new. From starting to kick her feet more to talking more to smiling a lot and getting close to laughing to crying more to being more aware of her surroundings.
She fell asleep on the ottoman with Zach rocking her back and forth on it. She looks so peaceful. Thanks to Nana and Pops for this dress. It came with a Santa hat and shoes too.
This is from her first sleep in the crib. She slept in there from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. and this is how we found her. She had pushed her way to the corner and her foot was coming through the rungs. And you notice her little butt pushed way up. She's too cute. Have I said that already? Well...she is!
Father and Mother Christmas were at the Baranof Museum. I think we'll have to go back there to spend time and look around more.
Melissa and Bronwyn gave us a shower at Bronwyn's house. It was a lot of fun. It was our first shower and about 10 ladies from church were there. I'm so thankful to have found our church and the friends we have made through it!
This is for Grandma and Pawpaw. They got this dress for her and when we went to church with her in it, everyone asked if it was mine as a child. I have some dresses of mine as a baby, but they won't fit her yet.
This is Donavyn and I in front of the tree tonight. I was working on getting the pictures downsized and ready to put on the blog. Sorry it's dark, but the ones with the flash didn't show the tree very well....and they showed my double chin more! lol
Oh, and still no news about when we go get Gabriel. Hopefully very soon!
