Thank you God for such wonderful friends...

I've said it once and I'll say it forever!!! We absolulty love our friends. No scratch that...we absolutly love our family!!! Thank you all for keeping us in your prayers. I was able to go to the Embassy this morning and got everything worked out. When we go to for our appointment they have to send a bunch of things to Washington D.C. for verification. That's why we can't get the Visa the same day. They normally get a reply later that day or early the next and are able to issue Visas the next afternoon. However due to a system glitch they didn't receive our verification in time to have the Visa printed and issued. I found out this morning that everything is in order now and I'll be able to pick up the Visa this afternoon at 3:30. Pedro will be coming to pick me up and I'll go in person just to make sure there's no more problems.

I talked with the Marriott front desk before I left and she wasn't sure that they would have space for us but she would talk to some people and see what she could do. Well after I got back from the Embassy, Beth and I took the kiddos to breakfast and then talked with the front desk to see if we would be able to stay. They told us that everything was taken care of and we will be able to stay in the same room until our flight on Sunday.

I think we may go talk to Continental this afternoon after I have Gabriel's Visa in my hot little hands and see if an earlier flight is even possible. They were able to get us out on Sunday because they said that that was the earliest they could do it. Maybe things have changed and it won't hurt to ask.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. You all had us in tears reading your comments (yeah me too...I'm man enough to admit it). This was a valient effort by Satan but he fell short yet again. Thank you for helping us weather this storm.

Comments

"Alleluia, alleluia, for the Lord God Almighty reigns!"

I *heart* Third Day and the song seems quite appropriate! Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow - may He watch over you and guide your path with travelling mercies to get back home!

Love you all!

Eph 5:19-20
"Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"

Praise God!

I am just now reading your updates from Wednesday and today and am SO pleased to hear that things are smoothing out a bit. *phew* You two, no, you FOUR are amazing. Your faith is amazing and encouraging and inspirational. I know that it is hard to be inspirational when all you want is to get things done and lead a 'typical' life. But if any good comes of our trials at the very least you have ministered to all who hear your story. =)

I will not be praying for strength for you (Beth, you know why *ha ha*)...but peace and calm...and serenity and HOME.

Hang in there guys. <3

Your Love oh Lord...comes to mind when I read all your & Beth's post about your family.

I am from CC's and usually don't post too much or just General stuff.

I am in AWE of you all. GOD blesses some much and I see this from just what He has done for all of you.

Prayers for you all is always on my mind. My heart ached yesterday reading what had happened and just prayed GOD made the window open.

Praying for Safety and an easy flight home for all. We can't wait to see a Family Picture of ALL of you.

Sorry we didn't get in touch with you right away! We checked your blog on Tuesday night and everything was fine....we hadn't had a chance to check it again...literally had just walked in the door from Anchorage when Jay called and gave us the update last night.

We're basically gonna do it just like last time you all left town. We'll bring the car over and Melissa, our certified car seat technician, will handle the installation. And we'll be waiting at the airport for all 4!!! of you to come in. Just give us a call from Anchorage and let us know.

I work Friday and Saturday...so give us a heads up if you come in earlier and we'll work things out....get Seth and Tina involved and get the car out there...otherwise I'm home Sun/Mon and it'll be easy.

Looks like Heidinni has the house and dogs taken care of...so no worries there.

Is there anything else you all need? Baby formula? Daipers? We'll keep checking the blog so let us know.

Love you guys...so happy you're heading home!!

Love,

Aaron & Melissa

*Sigh* SOOO happy to hear that it was just a small glitch! NOW - I prescribe you three extra days of high doses of Vitamin D!! Given the rainy poopy-ness of Kodiak this morning, you'll need it!
Thanks to God for bringing you all together, and for showing us all how truly blessed we are to have you in our lives. You show us all that having faith and trusting in the Lord will bring love, and hope, and joy!

The kids' devotion verse this morning was "No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God's will for you who belong to Jesus Christ" 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)

It made my heart smile to think of how amazing and faithful you guys have been through-out this entire experience.

We'll see you soon, and don't forget to let me know if you need anything.
That is such great news! I'm so glad things worked out!
Have a safe trip back!

I am in such awe of the friendships you have found in Alaska! I have just now read your blog (we were out of town)and had tears when reading all the comments. Beth and Zach, you are an amazing example to everyone and God is using you right this very minute to be a testimony of love and faith (and patience) to others! I'm so thankful that all seems to be going well now, but we will continue to pray for you all! We love you soooooooo much! Delinda, Gregg, Savannah, & Conley
