Umm....

Why didn't anyone tell us we would get NO rest during the day and that by 6 p.m. we would be ready for bed? This is the hardest job I've ever had. I don't know what I'm going to do when Zach goes back to work. He helps SOOO much. I'm so blessed to have him as my husband and the father of my children. I've had countless friends tell me how lucky I am to have him and that if I ever don't want him anymore to let them know, because they would gladly take him for me. Yeah, right. Like I'll ever let him get away! He's MINE, MINE I tell you! *snort*

Ok, so can you tell I'm a little tired? I think Zach is rubbing off on me some. When I get tired I usually get cranky...he gets silly. Tonight I'm a silly tired mom. And it's not even 9 yet. Luckily Gabriel is still up - Donavyn is already in bed (WOOHOO!) - and we're trying to hold off on his last bottle until at least 9 so that he may not wake up during the night.

He didn't sleep much today, so he's been a little cranky and clingy. Plus I think he's got a little bit of a cold. I've got an appointment with my Dr. tomorrow, so I'll ask her what I can do. I have some infant cough and cold meds, but I know they have since stopped recommending that for children. I seriously bought it a week before that report came out. What the deal, yo?

Ok, geesh, I've really got to get to bed. I think Gabriel is ready for his bottle now. Poor thing's coughing up a storm and starting to whine, cry, scream, and rub his eyes. So it's only 15 minutes earlier than we thought. We're getting closer to the schedule we want to keep. Probably only a few more days or so. The boy ate like a champ tonight too! He had more than he's had yet! That makes momma happy!

Oh, the long days. I think you are my hero though. I can't imagine having two (at 2 different ages) under the age of 1 at the same time. I bet you guys are running on fumes, and I know you've probably heard it a ton already, but enjoy these days because they go by SO VERY FAST. Try to rest when you can too. Zach sounds like a great guy, which is perfect you because you are a great gal (and mom)!

love & hugs to you

(((HUGS)))
When I had dd my mom told me the days would go by very slowly but the years would fly. It is so true, this will be a distant memory soon. You're doing a great job! Enjoy your sleep at night, and there is nothing wrong with going to bed as soon as you put them down!

There's no shame in locking up and going to bed as soon as the kids are in bed. Trust me!

It's tough to feel overwhelmed and love every minute of it at the same time. And along those lines - if you weren't overwhelmed, you wouldn't be normal. If this were an 'everything is sunshine and roses' type post, I'd be over there in a heartbeat checking your mental health. :)

Don't be afraid to call - I've got a cool mist humidifier if you need it for Gabriel - a cold or virus shortly after flying is pretty common.
