Well....America is now one person bigger

Gabriel is officially a US Citizen. As of about 10:30 a.m. Central time. Customs was a breeze. We had to go though the Immigration line and then get escorted to another waiting room. There were a LOT of people there, but luckily we got seen very quickly. I am sure it's because we are US citizens, but we were a little concerned for a while.

The kids were pretty good the first leg of our trip. Of course they sat Zach and I together in one row and there was someone else already in our row as well. They can't allow two lap babies in one row since only 4 masks drop down, so the man in the aisle seat next to Zach was nice enough to switch places. Of course that left me sitting between two men who think they get BOTH armrests. Oh, and the guy in front of me decides to lean his seat ALL the way back so I'm squished and holding Gabriel - or as we like to call him El Fuego (fire). Man, was I sweaty by the time we got here. He did sleep some though and was good for the most part.

Zach had a guy in front of him that decided to push his seat all the way back too. Zach ended up asking him to move it up.

Can I say I just LOVE Continental? They are the only airline I know of that still serves meals on their flights. We got a ham, egg and cream cheese croisant and fruit and a muffin. I only ate the croisant b/c that was the easiest to eat when squeezed and being slept on.

Ok, Zach just got back with some food for us. I'm so glad for the USO. It makes our lives so much easier. Gabriel is crawling around and we don't have to worry about our luggage or anything.

Love you all! Next stop, Seattle, the Anchorage, then HOME!!!

Sorry to hear that people can be so very rude. Next flight just have Gabriel start kicking the seat if another person wants to recline....I know that's not nice but hey maybe it'll get the message across. Hope the other flights go better.

Thank you Father! So good to know that our family are "Back in the USA" (old song by Chuck Berry and Linda Ronstadt). Tried to call you both a couple of times before we got home from church. Mom was concerned that I would have you paged in Houston, and scare you, but I was going to call the USO cntr. Did not know what time you left so decided to wait. Beth and Zach ya'll have a Donavyn and Gabriel sandwich for us. Pray that the rest of the trip is swift and uneventful. Tell the pilots tofly safe, they have precious cargo on board. Can't wait till Feb 19th to see the kids and you two also. Gotta go to sahre group. Love Mom and Dad (Grandma & Papaw)
